I've been running the G920VVRU4DQF3 update on my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6 for about a week and my battery life has been terrible since the update.
I haven't noticed any of the issues that others have pointed out, but I'm hoping Verizon/Samsung gets this broken update fixed.
I have T-Mobile service and no way to get a Verizon SIM to update the firmware. I do not want to do the work to root/install custom recovery/etc. Thanks in advance Originally Posted by Tydeker I have a Verizon unlocked m8.
Whoever you purchased the phone from already replaced then Verizon firmware/os with something that would work on your carrier...I were you I would ask them.
Just a thought x This morning my Samsung S6 is displaying a request to install yet another software update,, this time "Version: G920FXXU5EQG7/G920FEVR5EQG1/G920FXXU5EQF1" "Size: 93.23 MB" . Then I have to go back to enter a text, click the Swype icon on the keyboard, and re-select the Swype keyboard as my Default!
There is no information on what fixes and or enhancements are incuded in this update and no information to say who the authors (i.e. Guess the people who make up these ridiculous UPDATES for Samsung, work for Apple so as to convert us to Apple products!!??

Recently, when I went to update my Verizon-branded Samsung Galaxy S4, I received a message that said, "Software update is temporarily unavailable" (Figure A).
I reset the phone to factory defaults, connected to Wi-Fi, disconnected to Wi-Fi, but nothing seemed to work.
